My Background
Matthew is a LGBTQIA+, Chinese-Mexican/American musician active in the Greater-NYC area. Known for their rich tone and versatile musicianship, Matthew performs a wide range of genres including orchestra, opera, chamber, contemporary, musical theatre, and jazz.
In addition to actively performing, Matthew is also an avid teacher. Teaching both horn and piano, Matthew’s students have been accepted to top programs, performed in world-class venues, and been awarded first prize in regional, national, and international competitions.
